Paddy farmers are in a big crisis

Farmers allege that they are facing a huge crisis due to irregular procurement of paddy by the government.

Harvesting of the paddy fields planted this year under the Alahera Agricultural Campaign has already started.

Farmers point out that although the government has stated that it will buy paddy under the guaranteed price, no paddy warehouses have been opened so far.

Farmers say that the private sector also buys paddy for less than 100 rupees.
