Padukke school girl who was gang raped

It is reported that a 15-year-old minor girl in the Padukka area was gang-raped by a person claiming to be her boyfriend and his friends.

It is stated that the girl was unfortunately raped by this group for about 6 months from last March to last September 3rd. Later, when she could not bear this unpleasant experience, the girl informed her school teacher about this.

The police, who acted immediately, arrested these 5 suspects in Padukka Arukwatta area yesterday afternoon. After the suspects were produced before the Avissawella Magistrate's Court today, they were remanded until the 22nd and the girl has now been sent to the Avissawella Hospital for medical examination.
