Another mountain leopard was caught in a trap and died

Officials at the Nuwara Eliya Wildlife office said that yesterday, another mountain leopard was caught in a trap and lost its life.

The mountain leopard cub, which was caught in a trap set in the tea garden of the Westhall estate in the Nawalapitiya police area, has died on the spot.

The body of the dead mountain leopard cub, which is about 2 years old, is to be handed over to the Randenigala Veterinary Hospital for post-mortem examination.
