A person died after being attacked with sharp weapons

An unknown group attacked the shop owner and another person in Matugama Bopitiya area with sharp weapons.

The police said that the person who was inside the shop died on the spot due to the attack. He is a 37-year-old resident of Bopitiya.

The police said that the shop owner, who was injured in the incident, has been shifted to Nagoda Hospital for further treatment and the police are conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects involved in the murder.
