There are many risks in the area of being disrupted by bad weather

The Department of Meteorology says, that the areas have issued hazard notices for several effects of the weather disturbance.

Ingiriya, Palindanuvara, Vallavita, Bulathsinhala in Kalutara district and Upper Korala in the district, Pasbha Koralaya in the Ganga district in the district, Bulathkohupitiya in the district, Deraniyagala, Bulathkohupitiya in the district, Deraniyagala, Ruwanwella district, Yatigiriya, Aranayagala, Ruwanawella, Yatigiriya in the district. Risk notices have been issued.

Under Phase B, people have been warned in Kuruwita, Eheligoda, Kolonna, Ayagama, Alapatha, Balangoda, Imbulpe, Godakawela, Kiriella, Kahawatta, Nivithigala, Ratnapura, Kalawana and Pelma Tadalla.

The water level has risen in the Mahaweli area of Nawalapitiya, and the people around are informed to be very careful.

Train services along the upcountry railway line have been disrupted due to inclement weather conditions, according to Sri Lanka Railways.

The department said that two-night mail trains from Colombo Fort to Badulla and from Badulla to Colombo Fort were canceled owing to bad weather.
