The Northern Railway will be closing for 5 months from 15th January.

The Sri Lanka Railway Department has decided to close the northern railway line from Maho to Jaffna for a period of 5
months from January 15th.

This is also the cause of train accidents. Therefore, the severely dilapidated railway line will be closing within 5
months until it is promptly repaired.
