An increase in child leprosy patients in this country

Director of the National Leprosy Control Campaign Dr. Prasad Ranaweera, says that there has been an increase in the
number of child leprosy cases in the country.

Accordingly, from last year until now, about 250 children with leprosy have been identified from different areas of the
island.

Expert Dr. Prasad Ranaweera also mentioned that most of them are reported from Batticaloa district.
