A 16-year-old girl died after being hit by a train

A 16-year-old school girl has lost her life after being hit by a train near Asgiriya railway station, Kandy.

The accident occurred yesterday morning when a train arrived from Kandy towards Matale collided.

The police said that the accident happened when the deceased girl was returning home after attending a support class.
