The country's first monkey pox patient is found.

On the 1st of November, a 20-year-old Sri Lankan youth from Dubai came to the National STD Clinic for treatment thinking he was a sociopath.

Later, on the suspicions of the doctors, this person was referred to the virology section of the medical research department.

According to the tests carried out, this person is currently receiving treatment at the IDH Fever Hospital due to being able to identify specific genes for monkey pox.
