An illegal vehicle belonging to Nishantha Mutuhettigama is in police custody

Officers of the anti-corruption unit chased and seized an unregistered Isuzu Bighorn SUV type jeep that was illegally brought into Sri Lanka and assembled.

A police constable was driving the jeep and during questioning said that he was attached to the Galle Police and had previously worked in the Minister's Security Division.

In further investigations, the officials of the anti-corruption unit said that the jeep belonged to a former minister named Nishantha Mutuhettigama, and that the vehicle was used with fake number plates.
