A person died after a motorcycle collided with a train in Matara

Yesterday morning, the accident took place at the Matara Uyanwatta Dharmarama railway crossing due to the collision of the train bound for Beliatta.

The person who died in the accident was a 50-year-old resident of Matara Weragampita area.

His 8-year-old son who was on the motorcycle was seriously injured and was transferred to Karapitiya Hospital after being admitted to Matara Hospital.
