Another tax on the electricity bill

Electricity from 01 October 2022 The Ceylon Electricity Board has decided to collect the social security contribution tax from the consumers.

Social security contribution tax affects the electricity bills and accordingly the tax is levied on the purchase of electricity by the parties who get electricity from the Ceylon Electricity Board.
