Most Venerable Pallegama Sirinivasa Nahimi has passed away.

It is reported that the venerable Pallegama Sirinivasa Nahimi passed away last night while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo.

Venerable was 69 years old at that time. It is reported that the venerable has been receiving treatment in the hospital due to illness.

Born in 1953, the prelate entered the priesthood in 1968 at Anuradhapura Ruwanveli Chaityarama. Later studied at Viddyodaya Maha Pirivena and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Kelani University.
