A woman died in a car accident on the highway

The accident took place when a van traveling from Galle towards Athurugiri collided with a jeep traveling in the samedirection on the expressway from Kottawa to Kerawalapitiya.

A woman died and 6 others were injured in a car accident here. It is said that the deceased is a 57-year-old resident of Malambe area.

The Athurugiriya police are conducting further investigations regarding the accident.
