The power cut will increase up to 3 hours

While holding a special press conference, the Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission Mr. Janaka Rathnayake said that due to the Lakvijaya power plant being inactive, there will be a 3-hour power cut for today only.

He added that the power cut will be brought to 2 hours and 20 minutes from tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Public Utilities Commission has also approved the purchase of electricity from private suppliers.
